Scherzo

From movement #3 of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 4, this extremely fast, quarter note at 160, composition provides a challenge for the advanced ensemble. Written for twelve performers, including a part for piano, performing on the following instruments: crotales, chimes, bells, two vibraphones, five marimbas (a 5 octave, low C, is needed for one part) and two timpani drums.
