Sea of Tranquility

Since the dawn of humanity we've been mesmerized by the moon and what we thought to be "seas" on the surface. The Sea of Tranquility is probably the best-known of these thanks to the landing of Apollo 11 in 1969. This first movement from the larger four-movement suite captures the astronauts' sense of awe and wonder, from the explosive lift-off to flowing weightlessness and finally the triumph and jubilation of the historic lunar landing.
