Serenade for a Hero

This original piece give ode to Schubert's Serenade, with a Klezmeresque twist. Mike Dominy is a Canadian musician and conductor who cherishes the beauty of every human being. He seeks to make this world a better place. Towards that goal, he spreads messages of friendship, mending, collaboration, and inspiration. He also harnesses the power of music towards these goals. I am grateful to have gotten to know Mike, and am dedicating this piece to him. A fruit of my friendship with Mike is a friendship with Mark McClurg. In a similar ode to Mike, Mark has written a sister piece/movement to this piece, named “Serenade for a Friend”.
