This tune was written and arranged by Buck Clayton and transcribed from Count Basie's 1947 recording. It is a fast swinger featuring improvised solos from piano, tenor sax, trumpet and trombone, with Basie's piano intro and little licks and fills written out in the part. Aside from the opening and the close, the bass part is to be played from the chords. The tempo of this chart will need players with nimble fingers and tight sectional skills, plus good soloists in order for the end result not to sound ragged. While this is not an easy chart to play, it will give the featured soloists a chance to shine. There are no saxophone doubles.
