True, she is visually striking, but what makes the lasting impression is her existence as a whole: her "pure, dear dwelling place" telling of "days in goodness spent." While it's fairly certain Byron's goal was not to pen a manifesto for fair treatment of women, the theme of valuing the whole person is quite clear.
