The Two of Us

This timpani duet is a contemporary portrayal of an increasingly animated conversation between two people. As the players communicate through their drums, a variety of solo, tutti and call-and-response textures are used. Paying careful attention to changing dynamics and emphatic articulations will yield dramatic results.
