Level I exercises only contain elements from the prescribed "Pre-Area" rubric, while the Level II exercises contain elements from both the "Pre-Area" and "Area" rubrics. Exercises vary in length from 25-40 pitches/rhythms to facilitate skill building, strategy building, and time constraints.
