This arrangement of Pomp and Circumstance is designed for a full orchestra, although most of the instrumentation is flexible.
Pomp and Circumstance was used in the coronation of King Edward VII of the UK, and around 1905 had risen to become the theme played at nigh all graduation ceremonies, a tradition that is still prevalent to present times.
