This delightful English madrigal can fit beautifully onto any program. It's a wonderful opener, and it can be a great recessional for a religious service as well. The most challenging part is that of the tuba, which has very active motion throughout. While the tuba range is on the upper end, the higher voices have ample rest and are not physically strenuous. When played with finesse and great style by advanced musicians, it's incredibly impressive to hear, yet it's also accessible by amateur and student ensembles. This is a joyful piece that is loved by audiences.
