Smack Dab in the Middle

Take a look at this groovin' shuffle chart! It's the one that Sammy wrote for the Basie band, but now he's simplified it down to the medium-easy level for school jazz bands to enjoy. There's a lot of content here...a sax chorus, a small combo section, brass choir, and open solo space with optional written solos. The ranges are comfortable, and this chart almost plays itself!
