Sonata for Trumpet and Piano

Commissioned in 2015 by talented trombonist Trey English, this 3-movement sonata requires a wide range of technical and emotional demands from the trombonist as well as the pianist. Featuring the tonal concepts of chromatic mediants and augmented chords, this work is an example of advanced writing both technically and harmonically.
