Sonata for Trumpet and Piano

This is one of Verne Reynolds's last completed compositions. The work is in three movements which, as in the case of almost all of Reynolds's instrumental pieces, bear descriptive titles. The textures are sparse, for the most part, and the score contains none of the unmetered sections which characterize many of his works for solo instrument and piano.
