Song I Sing

Written for the Young People's Chorus of New York City, this exciting piece is a celebration of the sense of community that is fostered through singing. Using the same basic thematic text, various musical styles from the grandiose anthem to swinging vocal jazz are used to demonstrate the diverse possibilities that exist in music. When the styles all come together at the end, the effect is simply spectacular.
