Only Shakespeare commands words well enough to discuss growing old in a flattering way. Composed in primarily homphonic lines, the text comes through easily. The music, set using modern choral textures, is as lovely as the poem, with optional directions to perform the work in a double choir formation. Excellent for concert and festival use.
