Spirit of the Warrior

Dedicated to all soldiers past and present, this beginning band work uses only the first six notes of the concert B-flat scale. Beginning boldly with separated notes in the low brass and winds, the higher woodwinds soon enter with a legato countermelody. Interesting percussion including vibraslap and gong will keep your students interested. Use this composition to work on balance, listening between sections, and developing staccato and accent skills. An excellent choice for beginning students to help them achieve their best.
