Spotlight the Strings

This is a fantastic idea!  This piece contains a feature for each of the string sections, letting each of the instruments do what they love!  Del Borgo lets the violins "Fiddle" in the first movement called Fiddlin' A Round (yes, firsts and seconds play a round).  Next, the violas maximize their darker color with a sultry samba in the feature called Viola da Gumbo. The cellos finally get to play in that singing style usually reserved for the violins in the third movement called Mello Cello. And finally, the old walking bass line gets quite a push in the final feature called Running the Basses.Your players will get stronger and each section will gain a new appreciation for the other sections.  This ingenious work just may get a standing ovation!
