Transcribed by Paul Bissell. For wind ensemble. First Edition. Commissioned by the Boston Pops and its conductor, Keith Lockhart, and premiered during the celebratory opening of their 1998 season. Premiered by the Dallas Wind Symphony in January of 2000, conducted by Dr. Kevin L. Sedatole. This work recalls the neoclassical style of the 1940s exemplified by composers such as William Schuman and Vincent Persichetti. It also employs inversion, a technique in which the first theme is simply turned inside-out and presented as a second theme. For advanced players. Duration: ca. 7'. Full score, 48 p.
