Stars Are for Those Who Lift Their Eyes

Poem by Melcena Burns Denny. The Thanksgiving poem has a beautiful thought about the constancy of the love and care of God: "If stormy clouds should hide the stars No fearful thought is mine. Far beyond all earthly storms The heavenly stars still shine." Alternate words for the 2nd and 3rd stanzas make this music ideal for a Christmas Eve service when special accompaniment by harp might be available. The flexible accompaniment may be played by autoharp or guitar.
