Start to DJ Level 2

A continuation of Level 1, this Level 2 course, perfect for middle and high school students, asks students to use their own set of music to build even more sophisticated mixes using more advanced techniques. In addition to the equipment and software used in Level 1, students must also have access to Canva software. Including professionally led technique videos by DJ Hapa, this project-based mixed-media course requires the Start to DJ Level 2 student workbooks and the Level 2 Campus Coach online training for the adult leader. The Campus Coach certification unlocks access to the DJ software for your students.

 

Purple workbooks will guide students using iPads, iOS phones, Android tablets or phones, or Chromebooks with touchscreens using the free DJay App. Green workbooks are for use with Windows or Mac laptops and desktop computers using the free Serato DJ Lite software.  

 

As with Level 1, Level 2 coaches facilitate the equipment and software access, pace the lesson with the video content, and help students develop their unique DJ style. Coaches are certified through the self-guided ten-hour training course for Level 2. Coaches for Level 2 need only stay a step or two ahead of the students in the lessons – they do not need to be trained musicians! Support of the Campus Coach Community is always included with your training.
