This simple a cappella arrangement allows the beauty of Franz Xaver Gruber's beloved Christmas carol to shine through. It includes in the score both German text and English singing translation. It is particularly effective if sung in the round and/or with optional solo quartet or semi-chorus positioned away from full choir on third verse.
