Stille Nacht

Just when you thought you'd heard it all, here's a setting of Silent Night that hearkens to Gruber's original! The keyboard part is derived from the original guitar accompaniment, and the Austrian instrumental accompaniment is only slightly expanded from Gruber's own scoring for string trio and two horns. The choral verses are voiced as duets, as in the original, and the German text is primary, with English translation beneath.
