Stop 'n Go

This little rock chart has lots to offer as an entertaining performance piece and as a valuable instructional vehicle. It opens with a small ensemble within the big band setting that features 1st alto, 1st tenor and 1st trumpet. It builds the texture and intensity through layering and there's written or improvised solos for trumpet or trombone. This catchy chart has enough rests to give it a nice shape and to teach your students the importance of open space!
