Composed for young or intermediate ensembles, this piece can stand alone as a percussion octet, or it has the option of being played with a full wind ensemble. While certain parts are more challenging than others, numerous repeat bars are used, as the primary goal is to develop a player's ability to understand how their parts interact within the mix of the full ensemble. Standard concert band instrumentation is used for this three and a half minute composition, with some special instruments like rain stick, brake drum and ocean drum being incorporated.
This piece comes with a full, bound folio containing a full score with wind ensemble and a separate score for percussion ensemble only. It includes individual parts in PDF format for printing or for tablet viewing.
