Strayhorn

This tribute to the great composer Billy Strayhorn, is right from the tradition and is easy to rehearse. Full of standard rhythmic and melodic figures, it will make a great training vehicle for younger bands. Features include fully-scored rhythm section parts, no improvised solos, extensive part doubling, and limited brass ranges, with trombone 4 scored for optional euphonium. The medium tempo swing feel is easy to master, but with a few challenges for all sections. Great fun for both ensemble and audience.
