"Stride" is an easy march that provides basic articulations, dynamics, and rhythms - nothing less than eighths - as well as a simple key change (Bb to F major). This piece is a commission and teaching opportunity for developing middle school bands and myself as a composer. Introduced is the typical march tempo and time signature with two calmer interludes, giving many sections a moment to shine.
