Suite from The Planets

Three short movements introduce young concert band students to Gustav Holst's masterwork through accessible, impactful adaptations of Mars; Saturn and Jupiter. The energy and character of the originals are preserved, even with the simplified  3/4 meter for Mars to make it accessible to young students. The compact length supports a strong introduction to multimovement works at the elementary level. This is a thoughtful way to experience cornerstone repertoire while building confidence, style, and listening skills in concert programming.
