Suo Gan

The beloved Welsh lullaby is tastefully arranged, beginning with a unison statement of the melody with the English text. The second verse explores the Welsh dialect, but sets it for a soloist or small group. The texture expands to three-part harmony with a descant in the third stanza, but returns to the English text to keep the choral parts accessible for young choirs. A tender flute obbligato complements the flowing piano part.
