Springtime Ride depicts a group of young people riding bikes through
  their neighborhood when the weather finally warms up enough to do so after a
  long winter. Inspired by movie and television scenes of kids on bikes,
  Springtime Ride has a fun and cinematic feel that young bands are sure to
  enjoy.

This four-movement suite depicts various scenes that take place in a fictional alternate history. Each movement features notable people alive in the Victorian era, including Charles Ives, Marie Curie, H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, P.T. Barnum and Nikola Tesla. It borrows from popular music of the era, including the march, waltz, and the song "Daisy Bell." These are combined with sounds of clockwork and imagined steam technology.

Band of Heroes is a "choose your own musical adventure," which includes a narrative powerpoint presentation that is coordinated with the music. At three points in the story, the audience votes on which direction the story and music should take next. The piece is inspired by choose your own adventure stories and text-based computer adventures popular in the 1980s, as well as fairy tale and fantasy tropes. The majestic and noble toucan dons its tutu and prepares for its grand entrance. What will the toucan ballet entail? Nimble hops on delicate legs? Short but graceful flights across the stage? Rousing kicks? Dramatic splits? Perhaps the grand movement of its large, brightly colored beak would be the most effective use of its greatest asset. The toucan, inspired by other great birds of ballet, enters the stage, and begins to dance.

Adventurers! We need your help! The key to music has been stolen by a
  time traveling villain named Kronos and we need to return it to save music
  for all time! You'll need to pursue him in our time machine called M0Z4R+ to
  save the day. You pick up the following signals: the Jurassic Period, the
  Industrial Revolution and the Mesolithic Era. What time will you choose to

    A Journey in Time is an "interactive musical adventure" for band.
  The piece includes a narrative presentation that takes the audience through a
  story where they must vote to decide which path the story and the music will
  go next during the performance. Inspired by choose your own adventure novels,
  text-based computer games, and time-traveling tropes, the piece gives
  audiences and students a unique interactive performance experience.

A Journey in Time

This piece for band was inspired by Florence and Alice Leduc, two sisters who founded and ran the Hastings Needle Work company from 1888-1922. It reflects the story of these two young women who used their creativity and needlepoint skills to create a successful business during a time when this was quite atypical for women. Alternating a bold and boisterous waltz with the more delicate sounds of fine needlework, this piece is sure to inspire your group to do great things!

Clocktower Fanfare utilizes the 
  familiar chimes of the Westminster Quarters heard on many college
  campuses. This academic fanfare works well as a concert opener, as well as at
  graduation and commencement ceremonies.

The Town Band celebrates the spirit of the many community bands that exist across the United States. Often there are specific pieces or styles of music played in these bands. These pieces tend to lend themselves well to outdoor summer concerts at the pavilion in the town square, or the band shell at the local park. This piece tries to capture some of these typical sounds and musical tropes, as well as highlight each section of the town band, giving each instrument family a moment to shine.

Imagine a scenario where the young author meets her own creation, the monster brought to life whom we colloquially refer to as "Frankenstein." They meet, circling each other in a dance reflective of a tango. Mary is initially curious and sympathetic, while the creature pleads for compassion. In the moment when the two come together, Mary's sympathy is overwhelmed by horror and she begins to panic, while the creature becomes furious with her rejection. With the final notes, we are left asking ourselveswho is the real monster?

She Dares, She Leaps is a short fanfare for wind band that celebrates the determination, bravery, and boldness of women who have pushed beyond society's expectations of gender. The main melodic material features large leaps and scale passages that are constantly  moving up, representing the bold leaps and constant determined steps of women who push beyond boundaries. She Dares, She Leaps is dedicated to women musicians everywhere.

First Suite Fanfare pays homage to Gustav Holst's  First Suite in Eb. The fanfare utilizes and transforms material from the opening movement, specifically the Chaconne's familiar melody that is heard throughout. In much the same way that Holst utilized the starting notes of his melody to unify all three movements of First Suite in Eb, the first four pitches of the Chaconne are rhythmically altered throughout this energetic fanfare.
