Tailspin: The Musical

Set in the Woe Is Me Animal Shelter, this show tells the story of Max, a sad old dog left by her elderly owners, and Pumpkin, a feral stray cat otherwise known as "Killer," who desperately want to leave the shelter but for very different reasons. In addition to catchy songs and a clever storyline, this heartwarming show incorporates puppetry to tell a surprising and uplifting tale. Recommended for grades 5–9, the show runs 60 minutes and features 12 lead roles, including seven animal puppet characters and a flexible ensemble. Seven unison/two-part songs range from '60s funk to rap and soulful ballads. This product is solely digital; no hard copies are available. However, all materials other than the performance tracks are reproducible for any size cast. The complete show contains the director's script with piano accompaniments, reproducible student script, lyric packet, rehearsal MP3s, performance MP3s, and a director's guide with production notes, conversation starters, optional devotions for faith-based groups, and more. 10% of each musical purchased is donated to Therapy Pets United.
