Original date of publication: 1908, Music by Albert Von Tilzer, Lyrics by Jack Norworth, Arranged by Bryan Kujawa in 2021. This arrangement opens with a triumphant statement of the familiar melody, "For its one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ball game". The beginning features the upper woodwinds playing the less common first verse from the original version. Next the upper brass continues the phrase. The vamp at rehearsal mark E is an opportunity for someone to grab a microphone and announce to the audience that they are invited to sing along in the next section. Rehearsal F begins the chorus of, Take me out to the ball game. The clarinets and trumpets during this section are encouraged to lead the singing and/or create some fun choreography that mimics what you would see at a baseball game. Rehearsal mark J is a very fun final statement of the theme. Trumpets, clarinets, and altos take the lead while lower voices support with a funky bass line. The percussion part is notated as a starting point, however, if you have a talented drumset player, you could add them in here. Bassoon and Baritone T.C. are not in the score, but the individual parts are included. Play ball!
It is suggested that the 4/4 section be taken in cut time, if possible
