Alan Bullard's setting of That Virgin's Child is an expressive
and colourful response to John Gwyneth's mystical poem, a
meditation on our Lord's Passion. John Gwyneth was a
sixteenth-century Welsh clergyman, poet, polemicist and
composer who lived through the turbulent times of the
Protestant Reformation.
The work is also suitable for concert performance, and an
arrangement for soprano or tenor voice and piano is also on
sale (CE183)
