The Bells of Glocken

This is a delightful tale of a tiny kingdom whose ruler bestows to his people the great gift of four tower bells, one each for hope, peace, love, and joy. After the king dies, the bells fall silent as the people long for a new king who will bring them salvation. Then late one night, three wise men from the East appear at the gate, announcing a new king has been born. One by one, the bells begin to toll until the whole kingdom resounds with the glad news of the birth of Jesus, King of Kings. Easy to teach and featuring simple narration and dialog, this Christmas musical features speaking and non-speaking roles for 7-10 people, with the option to add dialog and characters as desired. Grades K-6. 20 minutes.
