The Flute Audition

To aid his students, and flutists generally, Wiese has compiled a list of the usual audition excerpts along with some not normally required. He has pulled from a variety of sources - from required repertoire lists to the most important published collections to reports from auditioning students - a volume filled with 196 excerpts that will be useful to any flutists auditioning in orchestral, opera and chamber settings. Many of the excerpts also include second or third flute parts. Presented in alphabetical order by composer, the excerpts are also listed in chronological order, spanning 240 years. This comprehensive and valuable presentation will help every flutist considering taking auditions.
