The Gift of Music

"Commissioned by Mr Mrs Adedamola Aboaba to commemorate the 100th Centenary of The Cathedral Church of Christ Choir, Lagos, Nigeria. The composer writes: 

 "I am very touched and honored to be involved in the centenary celebrations of the Cathedral Church of Christ Marina’s choir. My librettist, Bishop Akinpelu Johnson, and the commissioner, Damola Aboaba, both sung in the choir as young boys and this work will launch a new choral foundation to encourage and train new choristers who might not normally get the chance to join a church choir."

 "My sincere thanks go to Bishop Johnson for his inspirational words and to Mr Aboaba for giving this commission to me."
