The Iron Horse

The Iron Horse incorporates a large vocabulary of rudimental drumming from pipe band traditions while maintaining a classic, traditional form. It features standard rudiments like the seven stroke roll, flam-taps, the flamacue, as well as more modern rudiments like cheeses, hand-to-hand flams, and patafla-flas. It also mixes traditional, simple-meter rhythms with some that are more complex such as septuplets and triplets that begin on the offbeat.  All these elements combine into a challenging and engaging solo for even the most experienced rudimental drummer.
