The Lone Knight

In the Middle Ages, knights were bound by chivalry - a religious, moral, and social code of conduct they were sworn to uphold. Musically depicting the essence of bravery as a solitary knight gallops across the landscape to the aid of the defenseless, this bold and heroic work unsheathes its sword and clashes with the foe in a thrilling battle of good versus evil. This work calls for four timpani with no pitch changes and reinforces part independence in the low brass.
