The Marines of Belleau Wood

This work was written for the performances by the 2nd Marine Division Band under the direction of Chief Warrant Officer 3 Mark Pellón for their performances in Belleau Wood, France in May 2024. The work was premiered on May 24th alongside a second work by the same composer titled Les Camarades du Bois Belleau. Both works were written to commemorate the friendship and collaboration of the U.S. Marine Corps and the French Army in the Battle of Belleau Wood from June 1 to 26, 1918 during World War I.
