The Mission

This serious work is a rhythmic powerhouse! Audiences and performers alike will be swept up in the forward motion created by syncopations passed between all parts of the ensemble. A wonderful feature for your saxes and brass choirs, displaying extended harmonies and muted colors, inhabits the center of the work. The percussion are featured in a soli section that announces the return of driving rhythms in the winds. Horns provide the driving melodic content that propel this work to a surprising conclusion.
