In the myth, they work together to determine the lives of all living creatures on this earth and beyond; yes, even the gods are subject to their decisions. The sisters are often depicted using thread to represent each one of our paths through life. One of them spinning it, one of them measuring it, and finally one of them cutting it. Each movement is based on the personality and occupation of each of the sisters: Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos.
