The Mount

This beautiful setting of text by Mark Riddles draws its inspiration from the Gospel accounts of the Transfiguration. The vocal line soars above sweeping arpeggios in the accompaniment with Phrygian dominant scales evoking the distinctively exotic sounds heard in Middle Eastern musical traditions and Jewish liturgical chants.
