The New Colossus

Using the sonnet that was written by Emma Lazarus to raise money for the Statue of Liberty as the text, this composition with fairly free tonailty and close harmonies offers the mature ensemble an opportunity to really delve deep and explore the artistic and musical attributes of this work. A dynamic piece that musically explores all of the messages of the text with both dignity and grace.
