The Old Faithful Rainbow

This piece was inspired by a documentary on Yellowstone National Park. The energetic character of Old Faithful, the famous geyser, is reflected in the upbeat character of the music. Evocative of the power of the massive eruptions, the strong first theme makes dynamic use of percussion. The expressive second theme represents the rainbow that sometimes appears behind the spouting steam.
