Ideal for a County-level student band or adult ensemble, this new arrangement for of an old favourite will not fail to bring a smile to any audience as it contains several well-known melodies from the operetta itself including 'With Cat-like Tread', 'Ah, Leave Me not to Pine' and 'Here's a First-rate Opportunity [to get Married with Impunity]'. Given that bands do not have a string section and that they do, unlike an orchestra, have saxophones, this version sounds surprisingly close to the original. The conductor's note explains how any instrumental shortages can be overcome and certain passages are cued to aid this. Extra clef parts are supplied for Euphonium and Tuba.
