This piece is based upon Clarke's 1700 publication rather than numerous subsequent arrangements popularized by other composers. It is appropriate as a concert piece, an educational Baroque piece for students to play, or a processional march which is often used in weddings. Especially for processionals, optional repeats offer means of shortening or extending its length. Included are parts for horn in both F and Eb, and trombone. This duet is also available separately for numerous other combinations of instruments with each setting compatible with the others.
