The Quilt Speaks

This collection highlights the ingenuity of the people who were instrumental in helping guide folks from enslavement to freedom along the Underground Railroad. Using quilts and songs, they were able to share important messages that kept people safe along their long journey to freedom. Students will delight in singing and accompanying themselves as they learn the spirituals from a turbulent time in American history. This is a complete musical program with songs, Orff arrangements, narration, visuals, and supplemental materials, and it is perfect for Black History month!
