The Rain and the Rainbow

This lilting piece for beginning SSA choirs reflects on the sights and sounds of nature. The part-writing is easy, with accessible ranges, and an optional flute obbligato adds nice tonal color. The Christina Rossetti texts upon which this is based have a ring of familiarity: "Rain, rain, go away; come again another day... Boats sail on the rivers, and ships sail on the seas..."
