Using Carl Sandburg's poems Summer Stars; Stars, Songs, Faces and Stars as the text, this arrangement, set for younger voices, brings the poems to life. Mixing traditional harmonies, free tonalities, tone painting, mixed meters, wonderful voice leading, and lovely melodic motifs, this work captures the very essence of the poems and presents them as a trilogy in song.
