This massive tab/music book of over 150 pages presents the music in El McMeen's acclaimed Christmas guitar recording called "The Spirit of Christmas Guitar." https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/elmcmeen8 El presents the 14 tunes in both the tuning he employed on the recording (CGDGAD) and a more "standard" tuning, being Drop D tuning (DADGBE). The approach to this timeless music is respectful, yet also features a contemporary sensibility that is open to evocative improvisation. There are difficulties in rendering on the guitar sung music, but El has overcome the challenges. The audio sampler features midi's of El's treatment of Angels We Have Heard on High; In the Bleak Midwinter; Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus; Go, Tell It on the Mountain; and Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.
