Requiring only modest sight-singing ability at the start, this series is perfect for choirs with more treble singers than tenor-bass singers. The upper three voices are often interchangeable, giving many options for repetition and flexibility. With moderate-length phrases clearly separated by rests in all voice parts, this series promotes and develops proper breathing techniques. Dynamic markings are used throughout to provide practice in dynamic control, as well as to bring out inner voices that frequently carry the melody. The first four volumes are limited to melodic intervals no larger than a fifth and begin with basic, straightforward rhythms. All accidentals are approached and left by step-wise motion. The fourth and fifth volumes introduce triadic melodies, syncopation, longer phrases, triplets, accidentals approached and/or left by skip. These comprehensive volumes are fully reproducible digital downloads, so they can be used year after year in a variety of formats.
