Mister Punch

Michael Hurd. An operatic entertainment for young people following the traditional 'Punch and Judy' with music and libretto by Michael Hurd. Costumes and presentation can be simple or elaborate; accompaniment can be either by piano (piano duet) or classroom instruments (glockenspiel, side drum, cymbal and xylophone parts can be found in the score). Scored for unison chorus plus a minimum of four soloists who play the eight, treble roles. The nine songs include 'Scaramouch's Fiddle Song', 'Judy's Lullaby' and 'Policeman's Song And Duet'. 30 mins.
